Research Data supporting "The Optical Nose: Monolayer Sensitisation of Au Surfaces for Plasmonic Gas Sensing"

This dataset contains raw spectral data associated with the main and supplementary figures in a publication detailing the study of volatile organic compound (VOC) sensing using surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). SERS measurements were collected at a number of spots on a multi-layer gold nanoparticle aggregate (MLagg) substrate in a range of VOC conditions. The SERS dataset characterises the MLagg substrate in a range of ammonia headspace concentrations for different MLagg surface functionalisations and similarly for a range of small VOCs at fixed concentration. This can reveal sensing mechanisms at the MLagg surface.
