WMS NW 3D Building Model Overview

The overview shows the current availability of 3D building models in LoD1 (Level of Detail 1) and LoD2. In the LoD1 3D building model, each building/building is represented as a simple block with a flat roof. In the LoD2 3D building model, the building model is additionally modelled with standardised roof shapes. The data base for the derivation of the 3D building model LoD2 is the height information from the aircraft-based laser scanning (3D measurement data), the digital terrain model with the grid width 1 m (DGM1), as well as building floor plans from the Property Register (ALKIS) and the Official Topographic-Kartographic Information System (ATKIS). The LoD1 3D building model is automatically derived from the LoD2, so that the data base and the timeliness for both products are identical. The building height of the block is determined by the middle roof height of the building in the LoD2. Since 2015, landscape-shaping buildings and buildings that are only available as LoD1 have been reworked interactively. In the map representation, tiles in which buildings have been reworked are darker colored. Additionally, buildings based on ATKIS floor plans have been integrated into the 3D building model since 2021. The number of buildings can be retrieved for each tile via the material data query. Tiles where there are no buildings or structures from ALKIS or ATKIS floor plans are presented as empty tiles.
