This study aims to characterize the microbial community in mouse colonic contents samples. Total genomic DNA was extracted from intestinal contents, and the V3-V4 hypervariable regions of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene were amplified using primers 338F and 806R. High-throughput sequencing was performed on the Illumina platform. Bioinformatic analysis included OTU clustering (97% similarity), alpha diversity assessment (Sobs, Ace, and Shannon indices), and beta diversity analysis using PCoA based on Bray-Curtis distance. Additionally, PICRUSt2 was employed to predict the functional potential of the gut microbial communities based on the KEGG database. The goal is to evaluate the taxonomic and functional differences between distinct experimental groups.
