La rispazializzazione digitale nelle aree interne del Sud Italia = Digital respazialization in the inland areas of Southern Italy

In the light of the resemantization of spatiality operated by Castells with the ideas of "space of places" and "space of flows", the contribution intends to investigate the question of the depopulation of the internal areas of some regions of Southern Italy and the necessary digital respatialization of these places in our country. In inland areas, which are not very industrialized and affected by physical and telematic infrastructural processes, digital policies have become crucial for guaranteeing equal access to the opportunities and network resources necessary for the economic and social development of the territory. The contribution describes some case studies able to argue how these policies are having a positive impact on the development of some internal areas of Southern Italy and how the diffusion of digital technologies is improving the quality of life of the residents as well as contributing to the reduction of the depopulation phenomena
