已有研究表明,FeD/FeT主要反映黄土-古土壤序列的化学风化强度。对比灵台与西峰两个剖面的FeD/FeT序列可知,两剖面的序列在变化趋势上有很好的可对比性,证实了它们指示区域气候变化的有效性。但是,西峰FeD/FeT的波动范围约为15.5%~24.3%,而灵台总体上高于西峰,变化范围在25%~42%之间。这与两剖面的地理位置的不同及130ka以来黄土的Rb/Sr、600ka以来特征层位FeD/FeT所揭示的风化强度空间变化是一致的,指示了夏季风的环境效应在西峰总体上弱于灵台。

Existing studies have demonstrated that FeD/FeT primarily reflects the chemical weathering intensity of loess-paleosol sequences. A comparison of FeD/FeT sequences from the Lingtai and Xifeng loess sections reveals that their sequences exhibit excellent comparability in terms of changing trends, which confirms their validity in indicating regional climate change. However, the fluctuation range of FeD/FeT in the Xifeng section is approximately 15.5% to 24.3%, while that in the Lingtai section is generally higher than that in Xifeng, with a variation range of 25% to 42%. This is consistent with the differences in the geographical locations of the two sections, as well as the spatial variations in weathering intensity revealed by the Rb/Sr ratios of loess since 130 ka and the FeD/FeT values in characteristic horizons since 600 ka, indicating that the environmental effects of the summer monsoon in the Xifeng section are generally weaker than those in the Lingtai section.
