We aimed to (1) determine the composition of microbiomes and resistomes in xylem; (2) explore the effects of sludge addition on xylem ARG risks, including abundance, mobility, pathogenicity, activity, and accumulation; (3) elucidate potential mechanisms behind the shifts in xylem resistomes under sludge addition.
