Stormwater Mains

The Stormwater Mains dataset contains polyline features representing the primary conveyance components of Arlington County, Virginia’s stormwater infrastructure system. These features include underground pipes, culverts, open channels, and other linear drainage elements that transport stormwater between junctions and discharge points. The dataset is part of the stormwater layers collection and supports infrastructure mapping, asset management, and hydrologic analysis. Each feature contains attributes describing material type, dimensions, hydraulic characteristics, installation history, and network connectivity (upstream and downstream nodes). It is important to note that this dataset does not represent the complete inventory of all stormwater infrastructure. Data within certain federal properties and other restricted facilities have been intentionally excluded.
