Dataset for ABAQUS Modelling of Beam-to-Column Bolted Extended End-Plate Moment Connections Using Stress–Strain Approximations

This dataset contains finite element models of beam-to-column bolted extended end-plate moment connections. It provides all ABAQUS/CAE modelling files, enabling users to reproduce, modify, and extend the simulations for additional research or validation.
Initially, experimental and corresponding existing FE models were reproduced and analysed, and the sources of discrepancies between them were diagnosed. The specimens were then re-modelled using stress–strain approximations to represent the plastic behaviour of steel plates and bolts, and the results were validated against the experimental data.
This dataset is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0, which requires any adaptations to be shared under the same terms. Proper attribution to the original creator is mandatory.
