Top 20 Best-Fit UTOPIA Model Scenarios Matched to Observed Microplastic Size Distributions

This dataset contains the 20 best-performing UTOPIA model runs for each observed microplastic size distribution dataset used in the thesis. Each entry includes the model configuration that yielded the lowest RMSE and strongest visual overlay with observed data, along with key parameter combinations (e.g., fragmentation style, fragmentation timescale, plastic density, emission and receiving compartments). These results support the comparative evaluation of environmentally plausible and statistically robust parameter sets in microplastic fate modeling.
