A Modeling Study of ≥2 MeV Electron Fluxes with a 5-minute Resolution Based on LSTM and Transformer Networks

· Our LSTM and transformer models provide predictions or gap filling of ≥2 MeV electron flux data at the geostationary orbit.· For the 1-hour, 3-hour, 6-hour, 12-hour, and 1-day prediction models, the transformer models performed better than the LSTM models with different prediction times.· The PE value of ≥2 MeV electron daily fluences calculated from our transformer model for the 1-day prediction in 2005 is higher than those of other previous models, and there is an improvement in the PE value.
