Sulfur isotopes were measured in whole rock basalt powders from the Samoan hotspot. The S isotopes are heterogeneous. The S isotopes relate to the radiogenic (Sr, Nd, Pb) isotopic compositions of the Samoan lavas analyzed in this study. The S isotope variability is linked to different recycled components.
