资源简介:
The current research data presents a method of
establishing reliable bone conduction absolute hearing thresholds with the
presence of in-noise data. Hearing sensitivity (AC closed-ear and BC
open-ear without occlusion) was measured from six normal hearing listeners
using pure tone signals without masking, narrowband noise signals without
masking, and narrowband noise signals with masking at three skull contact
locations using the Radioear B81, B71W, and B71 over the range of five audible
frequencies. Results indicate that the in-noise testing
procedure used in this study allows for reliable determination of bone-conduction
thresholds. No significant auditory leakage was observed in case of any of the three
devices used and the bone-conduction thresholds determined in-noise and
in-quiet conditions were well aligned. This applies to both the pure-tone and
narrow-band noise determined thresholds.
