VPRS 4314 Carrier's License and Tobacco License Receipt Book Butts and Cheque Book Butts

This series consists of receipt books, with only the completed butts remaining. Two of the books document the payment of fees for carrier's (1927 - 1933) and tobacco licenses (1935 - 1941) issued by the Licensing Court whilst the other is for cheques written by the Court (1932 - 1937). The licenses or cheque were completed by the Court and given to the intended recipient. The license butts record the name of the individual to whom the license was issued, the period of license applicability and the amount paid.
