This dataset includes maps that show a proxy for damage due to earthquakes or other disruptions, called damage proxy maps. The maps are calculated from synthetic aperture radar data acquired by the Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellites operated by the European Space Agency. The maps cover the area of eastern California affected by the two large earthquakes near Ridgecrest, on July 4 and July 5, 2019. Four different calculations were done using data from two Sentinel-1 satellite tracks. The methodology is described in these publications: Yun, S.-H., et al.
