Hysteretic Response of Ferrocement Walls
收藏资源简介:
The rapid growth of the urban population has led to a deficit of proper housing conditions, especially in developing countries, exposing vulnerable populations to unsafe structures in regions with high seismicity. Ferrocement structures due to their easy, fast, and cheap construction can be a feasible solution for affordable housing with sufficient seismic performance to protect the life of occupants during strong seismic events. This project presents the results of a cyclic test on a ferrocement wall with a woodchip core, allowing its structural identification, characterization of its hysteretic response, and its equivalent numerical model. These parameters are crucial for the homologation and proper implementation of this structural system as a solution for affordable housing.
