Genotyping and Molecular Characterization of Multi-drug Resistant Uropathogenic Escherichia coli

The aim of this study is to shed light and increase our understanding on differences in the resistance profiles, virulence determinants, phylogeny, and serotypes of UPEC isolated from male and female UTI patients. Better understanding of gender-based differences is critical to determine predisposition and prevent recurrence.
