资源简介:
This study aimed to investigate the allergy-preventive effects of combined intake of the short chain fructan 1-kestose and the long-chain fructan inulin in an ovalbumin induced food allergy mouse model, with a particular focus on their impact on gut microbiota composition and immune responses. By analyzing symptom severity, immunoglobulin levels, cytokine expression, and 16S rRNA based microbiota profiles, the study sought to clarify whether the synergistic administration of these fructans could modulate the intestinal environment to enhance resistance against allergy sensitization. Understanding how specific prebiotic fructans influence beneficial bacterial taxa, short-chain fatty acid production, and inflammation-related pathways provides valuable insight into the development of dietary strategies for preventing food allergies.
