资源简介:
Data from Ferreira et al. Foraging behavior shows individual-consistency over time, and predicts range use in slow-growing free-range male broiler chickens The first sheet contains data obtained during the Ranging behavior measurements. The variable recorded was the individual range visits during the period 2 (after range access). The second sheet contains data obtained during the Behavioral observations (home environment condition). The variable recorded was: Standing, Resting, Locomotion, Foraging, Feeding/Drinking, Comfort behaviors, Environment pecking and Positive social pecking. The third sheet contains data obtained during the Contra-freeloading test The variable recorded was the time spent in each of the chambers. The time spent on each chamber across the two trials was combined to calculate a preference index (PI). This index could vary between - 1.0 and 1.0. The project PPILOW has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement N°816172.
