Elicitation tests for photocontact sensitivity were performed 10 days after the last sensitizing exposure. The epitope in acetone was applied to the back of guinea pigs. Out of 20 hairless guinea pigs tested, 14 developed photoallergic contact sensitization to the epitope. Among the hairy Hartley guinea pigs, 15 of 20 developed photocontact sensitivity.
