Murine model and pathogenesis of radiation induced liver fibrosis.

We have developed a new model of radiation-induced liver fibrosis and aimed to understand the underlying mechanism using RNAseq. Overall design: We have collected the liver sample at different points post-irradiation (Day 1, Day6, Week 6, week 20). For each mouse, we have harvested liver from the liver area highly irradiated (˜50 Gy - that develops the late fibrosis) called HIGH, and from the area of the liver that is not irradiated or exposed to very low doses (that does not develop the fibrosis) called LOW.
