Biodegradation of nonylphenol and butyltins in bottom sediments from the Gulf of Finland, the Baltic Sea

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the biodegradation of pollutants (nonylphenol and butyltin) and their impact on the structure of the bottom sediment microbiome. This is the first detailed study of microbial community structure in nonylphenol-butyltin-contaminated marine sediments using the high-throughput Illumina MiSeq sequencing platform.
