Glycomics of Cervicovaginal Fluid from Women at Risk of Preterm Birth

The study conducts glycomic analysis on cervicovaginal fluid (CVF) from 36 pregnant women at high risk of preterm birth and 4 non-pregnant women, uncovering glycan epitopes linked to immune regulation, inflammation, and associations with the vaginal microbiome. The study also developed a strategy to resolve overlapped isotopic peaks, enabling fast data annotation and the creation of N-glycan, O-glycan, and glycotope libraries, made available as open-access resources.
