Catalogue of the Medieval Cross Slabs of Derbyshire

The aim of the project was to document, describe and illustrate all the known medieval cross slab grave covers in Derbyshire. The project was carried out by Dr Peter Ryder between 1996-7 and in 2011 and 2012. The project was commissioned by the Derbyshire Archaeological Advisory Committee and funded by Derbyshire County Council and the Peak District National Park Authority. The Derbyshire data is also included in the overarching Cross Slabs in Medieval England Project, although this project was discretely funded and carried out.
