Contribution of the vaginal microbiome, metabolome and host response to increase risk of preterm birth in an ethnically diverse UK cohort

Microbiome analysis of vaginal swabs taken from pregnant women who subsequently gave birth at term or preterm, from a ethnically diverse UK cohort. Microbiome analysis is performed by 16S profiling of variable regions V1-V2 using Illumina MiSeq V2 chemistry (250 bp paired-end).
