Dataset and code for From environmental heterogeneity to stability: beta-diversity stabilises biomass across space

This archive contains the code, data, generated outputs, and reproducibility documentation for the Ecology paper on beta diversity, environmental heterogeneity, and biomass stability in benthic metacommunities. The repository is organised into modules for shared analysis functions, simulation workflows, experimental data cleaning, empirical analysis, figure/table generation, and reproducibility checks. It includes raw and processed experimental data, scripts for cleaning biomass and environmental measurements, simulation scripts for metacommunity and transient-sensitivity analyses, archived model/posterior summaries, and generated figures and tables. Large regenerable simulation caches are excluded, with rebuild instructions documented in the repository.
