Data for Wild insects contribute more to the pollination and yield of mango during the induced off-season flowering than exotic honeybees

This dataset was compiled to compare the composition, richness and abundance of floral visitors, their effectiveness and contribution to pollination, the limitation of pollen, the quantity and quality of commercial fruits and the incidence of malformed fruits between natural flowering and seasonal flowering in mango (Mangifera indica), during consecutive years. The study was carried out in mango orchards located on the Costa Grande, Guerrero region, southern Mexico.The study also explores the relationship between the abundance of pollinators (honeybees and all wild pollinators) with the yield of commercial fruits.
