List of selected circularity indicators to assess electronic health devices

This DiCE dataset presents the circularity indicators selected for assessing electronic health devices, resulting from a two-stage screening and selection process applied to the 48 indicators identified in the literature review. Indicators were first evaluated against the RACER criteria (Relevant, Accepted, Credible, Easy, Robust), then screened a second time against considerations specific to the medical device sector. The dataset comprises 11 indicators, each with its resulting weighted score and originating literature source. The selection process continued with consultation sessions with key experts from the healthcare sector and circularity field, to have a selection of a few indicators most suited for electronic healthcare devices. This resulted in the selection of 3 indicators (Extended Lifetime; Material Circularity Indicator; Recyclability of the product). It represents the finalized shortlist of indicators to be used for circularity assessment of electronic health devices, derived from and traceable to the broader literature-derived indicator inventory.
