Corresponding downhole vitrinite reflectance data predicted from a forward model.<br>Note that the three vitrinite reflectance profiles produced by the different heat flow histories are identical, showing the non-uniqueness in the interpretations of vitrinite reflectance data.<br>2. Real data example:A real-case study conducted on the central Sichuan Basin, SW China. The data set provides:a. The burial history of the basin;b. Three different scenarios of heat flow histories;c. The corresponding downhole vitrinite reflectance data predicted from a forward model;d. The real measurements of the vitrinite reflectance.<br><br>Note that the three vitrinite reflectance profiles produced by the different heat flow histories are identical and all fit well with the measurements, showing the non-uniqueness in the interpretations of vitrinite reflectance data.
