We generated F2 populations by crossing the early flowering rice mutant with the wild-type and performed a QTL-seq analysis to detect QTLs for earliness. For this, we generated short reads of the extremely early flowering and late flowering plant DNA bulks in 3 different years (2019, 2020, and 2021). Additionally, the parents, SM (wild-type) and SM93 (mutant) were also sequenced for short reads.To look at the high yield in our mutant, we sequenced the RNA samples (RNA-seq) from panicles of length 1-2 mm, obtained at the panicle initiation stage. The control used was the corresponding tissue from the wild-type plant. Samples from the mutant and wild-type plants were sequenced as triplicates.
