The goal of the present study is to identify genes that become essential or are required for robust growth, whose interruption may enable better growth, or, when up-regulated, provide a growth advantage to MRSA (USA300) treated with the Gmpcide PS1962. The data provide clues to the mechanism of action of the drug.
