Mrs. Charles Miller, 11617 East Verbeck Street, Los Nietos; Harold Melton, milkman, 3015 Nebraska Avenue, South Gate, wading through water to deliver milk; Joaquin Jimenez, 17, 11526 East Eivera Road, Los Nietos, on horseback, pulling raft with two kids; Jimmy Adams, 15, 8308 Boer Avenue, South Gate, on raft; Robert Harpster, 17, 8542 South Norwalk Avenue, West Whittier, on raft; Horse, "Candy", pulling raft.; Supplementary material reads: "Whittier -- Dick Harmon. 2 shots of milkman delivering in Los Nietos. Housewife is Mrs. Charles Miller, 11617 East Verbeck St., L. N. Milkman (pant up to knees) is Harold Melton, 3015 Nebraska Avenue, South Gate, Golden State outfit. Street here was two-feet deep with water. Flood came up to house but not inside. Marooned houses and families -- most of them, moved out until water subsided. 2 shots of horse pulling raft in Los Nietos. Horseman is Joaquin Jimenes, 17, of 11526 East Rivera Road, Los Nietos; horse is named Candy. Raft riders are (white shirt) Jimmy Adams, 15, of 8303Boer Ave., South Whittier; and Robert Harpster, 17, of 8542 South Norwalk Blvd., West Whittier; all three students at Whittier Union High School. They're riding on East Verbeck Street in Los Nietos".
