For each BOLD signal change, peak MNI-coordinates and z-score are given.

The corresponding brain region and the probability and assignment to a probabilistic-anatomical map is displayed as calculated with the SPM Anatomy Toolbox [14]. Three peaks in left insular cortex (*) were activated by listening to actively learned melodies in contrast to listening to passively learned melodies at the following statistical threshold: p<0.005, K>100, Z-scores>3.0. Table 1 also shows additional peaks activated by the same contrast at a lower statistical threshold: p<0.05, K>50, Z-scores>2.25.
