NRS-4037 | Returns of age-grade distributions for special schools

This series consists of returns showing the age and grade distribution of pupils at government special schools. The following categories of schools are represented: Correspondence School; School of the Air; island schools (ie. Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands); schools for emotionally disturbed children; hospital schools; schools for the mildly intellectually handicapped, the moderately intellectually handicapped and the physically handicapped; schools within Department of Youth and Community Services institutions. For 1973-76 and 1986 there are also returns for nursery or pre-schools. The 1986 returns include separate bundles for Aboriginal and non-English speaking background pupils in special and pre-schools. Within each yearly bundle forms are grouped by type of school then filed alphabetically by school name. 1968-71 (10/31604.1), 1972-84, 1986 (12/14216-14218.1). 4 boxes (part).
