Microbiota composition is studied in bumblebees exposed to environmental temperature stress both within the nest environment and without the effect of colony thermoregulation. Bombus terrestris workers were exposed to hot and cold temperatures for five days, and returned to control temperature for five additional days to study if microbiota composition could be restored after thermal stress in case of changes.
