This dataset reports chlorophyll a and b concentrations in sediment samples collected from 4 sites in the Northern Gulf of Mexico between May 21, 2011 and September 16, 2013. Samples were collected from 29 samples sites in Pensacola Bay, Destin-Chotawatchee Bay, Panama City – St. Andrews Bay, and DeSoto Canyon using replicate Shipek sediment grabs. Sediment was frozen in the field for transfer to the lab. Once in the lab, samples were acetone extracted and fluorescence was determined on a Perkin Elmer scanning fluorometer. Standard chlorophyll preparations were used for sample quantification.
