This repository contains the data analysed in the article by Riesch et al. (2025) published in Landscape Ecology, collection: Towards a mechanistic understanding of animal movement across scales. The excel file contains soil data and red deer activity data. Metadata are provided in the first excel worksheet. The raster files provide the utilisation distributions (UDs) of red deer obtained from Kernel Density Estimates (KDE; with reference bandwidth) with relocations classified as active (UDa) and passive (UDp) pooled across animals. The coordinate reference system of the rasters is EPSG: 32632. Please see the original article for more details.
