This file contains the raw phenotypic data, with one value per individual tree, for the tree architecture and canopy shape -related traits measured in the orchard on the apple tree core-collection from T-LiDAR and manual measurements. Notice that these traits can be considered as constitutive as they do not correspond to responses to water scenarios. The first column is the variety identifier “MUNQ”. It also contains the following columns: X: X position (rank) of the tree in the orchard – Y: Y position (within the rank) of the tree in the orchard – Scenario: watering scenario of the tree (WW for well-watered, WD for water deficit). Architecture-related variables (from winter T-LiDAR scans): nb_axes: number of axes – total_length: total cumulative axis length (m). Canopy shape-related variables (from summer T-LiDAR scans): c_volume: convex hull volume that represents the maximal space occupation of the tree (m3) - a_volume: alpha hull volume that represents the volume filled by leaves within this convex hull (m3) – ci: convexity index computed as the ratio a_volume/c_volume – height: plant height (m) – STAR: Silhouette to Leaf Area Ratio. Manual measurements: TCSA: Trunk cross sectional area (cm²), computed from the trunk circumference measured with a tape measure. Integrative variables calculated from a PCA on architectural traits – Dim.1: first dimension of the PCA, representative of vegetative development – Dim.2: second dimension of the PCA, representative of light interception capacity.
