Dust exposure accelerates recovery of the gut microbiota in antibiotic-treated mice

Environmental exposure to low cleanliness prevents the occurrence of allergic diseases and increases the diversity and richness of the gut microbiota. Therefore, in this study, we examined the effects of an overly hygienic western lifestyle on the gut microbiota after administration of antibiotics. We found that an unsanitary environment can reduce the effects of antibiotics on intestinal microecology in mice.
