De novo sequencing of several Trebouxiophyceae species

This dataset comprises de novo assembled nuclear genomes, transcriptomes, predicted protein sequences, structural genome annotations, and functional annotations for twelve lichen-associated algal species generated using PacBio long-read sequencing technology. The dataset includes the following species: Asterochloris erici, Myrmecia israelensis, Trebouxia asymmetrica, T. barrenoae, T. corticola, T. cretacea, T. decolorans, T. impressa, T. jamesii, T. lynniae, Vulcanochloris guanchorum, and Watanabea lichenicola. Genome assemblies were produced from de novo sequencing data, followed by transcriptome-assisted gene prediction and downstream structural and functional annotation analyses. The files provided include assembled nuclear genome sequences, transcript datasets, predicted proteomes, gene structure annotation files, and functional annotation outputs suitable for comparative genomics, phylogenomics, and evolutionary studies of lichen-associated microalgae.
