Correspondence in this series might have been dealt with mainly by the office of the Chief Clerk. Matters dealt with include correspondence relating to advances applied for by selectors particularly those involved in closer settlement schemes, correspondence relating to bush fire and flood relief schemes and correspondence from Department employees.Correspondence in this series was previously registered as portion of Unit 3 and Units 4 and 5 of VPRS 1004 Chief Clerk's Correspondence Files.
