NFIB is a transcription factor that can both positively and negatively regulate gene transcription. We have identified NFIB as an arginine methylation substrate of CARM1. To elucidate how CARM1 could regulate NFIB target genes by methylating NFIB, we performed this ChIP-seq to firstly identify NFIB direct binding gengs. Three independent antibodies were used in the ChIP-seq analysis for the global distribution of NFIB in HeLa cells. Two NFIB antibodies from Abcam and Bethyl were used for regular HeLa cells, while GFP antibody was used for HeLa cells with stable GFP-NFIB overexpression. Two technical replicates of DNA libraries each antibody and the corresponding total input libraries were prepared. The H3R17me2a antibody was used for the global distribution of CARM1 substrates in HeLa cells.
