Sequencing of sRNAs from the veterinary pathogen Histophilus somni 2336

Histophilus somni is a veterinary pathogen responsible for bovine respiratory disease (BRD) complex in cattle. sRNAs are a class of post-transcriptional regulators which interact with specific mRNA targets affecting their translation or proteins modulating their activity. In this study, the RNA chaperone protein Hfq-associated sRNAs are isolated and sequenced, in order to functionally characterize their role in virulence and pathogenesis in H. somni 2336.
