Replication data for "A golden rule for migration? Demographic adjustment and public debt sustainability in the European Union"

This repository contains the processed replication data underlying the empirical application in “A golden rule for migration? Demographic adjustment and public debt sustainability in the European Union”. The dataset covers 26 EU Member States over 2026-2035 and includes the baseline inputs and country-year outputs used in the two counterfactual scenarios analysed in the paper. It also contains the Eurostat demographic data underlying Figures 1 and 2. The underlying data are drawn from the European Commission’s AMECO Autumn 2025 Forecast, the Debt Sustainability Monitor 2025, and Eurostat (demo_gind). The workbook includes a README, parameter settings, a country-year panel, country-level summary results, a data dictionary, and the demographic data used in the descriptive analysis. Potential-output growth is provided as the processed input used in the empirical application.
