Gender effects on design thinking in IT development

This data set represents the responses of a questionnaire that focused on examining familiarity with and usage of design thinking as a means of mitigating gender-based cognitive bias in information technology development. N=93 individuals participated in the study - 54 women, 37 men and 2 other. The questionnaire asked about familiarity with design thinking, usage of various methods attached to the design thinking model, ways in which gender-based cognitive bias is dealt with at the representative organisations, and whether or not the participants recognise cognitive bias. The data was collected from April to June, 2024 in Finland and Finnish owned companies. The participants were those who work with information technology development on some level.
