Dataset from SARS-CoV-2 Screening and Diagnostic Testing for Return to K-12 Schools
收藏资源简介:
Background: The aims of this study were to evaluate secondary transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in school communities and describe return to school outcomes. The schools in this study were provided with rapid SARS-CoV-2 testing kits for non-prescription use for both symptomatic and asymptomatic evaluation in children and adults. Materials/Methods: This was a prospective, observational study that evaluated the impact of school-provided SARS-CoV-2 testing (either surveillance or testing following exposure) to students and staff on transmission rates and return to school. The information obtained was critical for determining future policies surrounding SARS-CoV-2 testing in the Kindergarten through 12th grade school environment. Outcome/Impact: Study outcomes included participants benefitting from SARS-CoV-2 testing and early identification of COVID-19. Additionally, the data collected advanced the scientific understanding of COVID-19 and associated outcomes and could be applied to other school settings.
