资源简介:
Measurements of a community’s nutrition environments provide more detailed information on the availability, accessibility, affordability, and acceptability of healthy food. A Nutrition Environment Measurement Survey (NEMS) helps researchers calculate a NEM score to compare access to healthy food in different parts of a community. This mission focused on collecting data on stores nutrition environments to provide more detailed information on the level of food access each store provides. This research focused on five food groups: vegetables, fruit, milk, meat (ground beef, hot dogs), bread (including cereal). Data collected for each food group included the variety of fresh and canned food, the quality, and prices. This mission includes four social science collections related to the NEMS of food retailers. These collections include the survey instrument, the primary (raw) data collected from the Harris County and Southeast Texas surveys, an example of a secondary (curated) dataset, and a report summarizing the NEMS survey.
