A high quality draft sequence of the reference genome will be assembled from a single sample of Colobus angolensis, using read data produced by the Illumina platform. In addition to the deep genome sequence coverage for the reference colobus, BCM-HGSC will generate whole genome sequences from additional colobus monkeys in order to identify DNA sequence variation for this species.
