资源简介:
Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) continue to be a common occupational burden for farmers in Rajasthan due to repetitive labor, awkward postures, and limited access to physiotherapy. Student-driven rural physiotherapy camps are becoming a practical strategy to spread awareness and encourage early care-seeking. Still, students often run into challenges while delivering community outreach. To understand where things get stuck, a structured survey-based dataset was developed focusing on barriers experienced by physiotherapy students while conducting these camps. A total of 200 physiotherapy students from various institutions across Rajasthan who had at least one rural camp experience took part. The survey captured detailed demographic information and forty Likert-scale items grouped into five latent constructs: Training & Clinical Competence (TC), Resources & Logistics Constraints (RL), Community & Cultural Barriers (CCB), Stakeholder & Institutional Support (SIS), and Perceived Outreach Effectiveness (POE) as the dependent construct. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) served as the analytical framework, supporting the exploration of interaction strength between the four independent constructs and outreach effectiveness. The dataset reflects field realities such as confidence gaps in adapting assessments to non-clinical settings, difficulties related to transportation, limited language fluency during farmer education, and procedural hurdles for mobilizing institutional support. Survey responses also show encouraging signals, including successful use of demonstrations, positive involvement of community representatives, and increased farmer willingness to engage with physiotherapy services when clear guidance is offered. By making this dataset publicly available, the intention is to enable deeper statistical modeling, help curriculum planners strengthen field-readiness training, and support policymakers in designing farmer-friendly physiotherapy outreach programs. Researchers can readily integrate the dataset into future analyses to test additional hypotheses around rural healthcare access and student-led public health interventions.
