5 year data on Leeds NHS NTCs with serious issues

This is data from 2008 to 2013 (5 financial years) on the non therapeutic circumcisions (NTCs) of children funded by NHS Leeds, with data also on those cases which resulted in a hospital stay of 1 d or more and/or a follow up urological surgery.Note the data on surgeries is by F/Y and complications by calendar year so not a perfect match. However it suggests that more serious complications may occur at a rate of &gt;2% on infants - contradicting NTC complications data controlled by US sources - eg CDC, AAP and also the WHO advice. Note tab 2 shows the cost of the 1d admissions allowing a calculation of the cost of treating more serious plastibell complications (tab 1). Please provide the total cost to the PCT of all<br>these surgeries if possible. 2. please advise how many boys from the group above were admitted to<br>hospital within 30 days of religious circumcision for a length of stay<br>which was 1 day or more. For those cases, please advise the age of<br>child, the time gap between circumcision and admission, the primary<br>and secondary diagnosis code and text, the primary and secondary OPCS<br>code and text, and the cost of the episode. 3.
