资源简介:
Time series temperature measurements were obtained on moorings in Balbina Reservoir, Brazil, as part of a physical limnology experiment in July 2013. Temperature arrays, consisting of newly calibrated fast response temperature sensors (RBR Solos with accuracy of 0.002oC and resolution 0.0002oC) sampling at 10 second intervals, were positioned in the upper 20 m offshore (01°54'33.3'' S; 59°28'10.7'' W) at the southern end of the reservoir. The array consisted of a taut line mooring with an upper line connected to a thin float which moved freely on the water surface. One sensor was attached horizontally to the base of the float, which shielded it from direct solar radiation, allowing temperature measurements ~0.05 m below the water surface. Two other loggers, facing downwards, were suspended from the same line and obtained measurements at 0.5 and 0.95 m. The remaining loggers were below the subsurface float and measured temperatures at 1.15 m, 1.75 m, 3.25 m, 4.75 m, 6.25 m, 7.75 m, 9.25 m, 10.75 m, 12.25 m, 13.75m, 15.25 m, 16.75 m, 18.25 m, and 19.75 m below the water surface.
